Yoru is a female Minotaur sorcerer, formerly of the kingdom of Nighon but taking up allegiance with the asylums of the Pirate Kingdom after the Reckoning destroyed the planet of Enroth and survivors escaped to the planet Axeoth.
Yoru showed a talent for magic at an early age, so her family sent her away to study under a human sorcerer. As she traveled the world with her teacher, she studied its various races with great interest, but there is one race she wishes she knew more about—minotaurs.

- Yoru's fate is unknown, as with all other survivors, as 3DO went bankrupt after the release of HoMM IV, with the series being taken over by Ubisoft for HoMM V, which completely dropped the new planet Axeoth in favor of its own world, Ashan.
