Silvally is an artificial Pokémon species created by the Aether Foundation in Alola, using DNA samples from Pokémon of every type. This chimeric life form was conceived as a means to battle the Ultra Beasts. However, the original prototypes, known as Type: Full, went berserk and the final version was placed in a control helmet and christened Type: Null. After destroying its control helmet, this Normal-type Pokémon actually acquires the ability to access its RKS System and change its type. It is only in this stage that it becomes known as Silvally: a name given to it by Gladion. A second Type: Null was later created in the Galar region.
