The difference between this bird and an actual bird is that it appears to have miscolored eyes, purple feathers, and visible teeth which real ostriches do not have. It appears in the episode where after young Courage hears his parents screaming for help after the two were kidnapped by the veterinarian as his plan of sending dogs to space in hopes they would transformed into super dogs. Courage then goes after the vet trying to rescue his parents while going after the vet, he opens the door and discovers a mutated ostrich who only roars back at him.
