|Behind the Scenes|
A Lycaesaurus (Kirk's Wolf Lizard) is a wolf-like animal that lived in the lowlands of Skull Island.
The mammal-like reptile Lycaesaurus was an intelligent, dog-sized predator that hunted in the grasses. Mating for life, pairs dug burrows in the volcanic soil and lined them with dry vegetation for their pups - most often twins. They took a wide range of prey, feeding on anything smaller than themselves, and often followed large carnivores like V. rexes in the hopes of scavenging morsels from their kills, or using the cover of one of their attacks to grab undefended young dinosaurs.
