The Grunts are a species of sapient humanoids that are born from the back of a creature known as "Primus Gruntus Maximus", the species progenitor.
Biology[]
They appear to be an all male species with albino skin, varicose veins, blue hair and lips, and walk around in their underwater.
Reproduction[]
As mentioned above, the grunts themselves do not procreate, and instead are born from the Primus Gruntus Maximus.
Lineage[]
The lineage of the grunt species started with a quadrupedal beast called "Gruntus Not-Quite-Us", which rose out of the water to begin their conquest of land. Like the Primus Gruntus Maximus, the Gruntus Not-Quite-Us gave birth from its back. A later evolution named the "NeanderGrunt" first grasped the use of tools.
Culture[]
The only known aspect of their culture is the "Brotherhood of Grunt" founded by the "Fifth of Kevin". Their language consists mostly of grunts, hence their name. The only member that knows how to talk is the Gruntus Poobah. Baby grunts are collected and cared for by the eldest and wisest of the species, the aforementioned Gruntus Poobah. Once said grunts reach adulthood, they are given a ceremony where they are welcomed into the brotherhood. A select member of anointed grunts is made the "Chosen One", who is to be their leader.

- Gruntus Poobah: The Gruntus Poobah is the only grunt that seems to be able to speak. It is his job to collect and care for baby grunts, and welcome them into the Brotherhood of Grunt. He also cultivates cheese.
