Flesh-Eating Slugs are a species of magical gastropods which are known to inhabit Scotland. In spite of their name, it's not known whether they're truly carnivorous, as Rubeus Hagrid once claimed that they were ruining the school's supply of cabbages. It's possible that the slug's body might be acidic enough to damage either flesh or cabbages just by being in contact with them.
