Sammael, also known as the "Hound of Destruction", is a large hellhound formerly trapped in a Vatican reliquary that was freed by Grigori Rasputin (a powerful sorcerer).
Overview[]
Once freed, Rasputin imbues Sammael with the ability to reincarnate, splitting its essence, allowing two of its eggs to hatch and quickly mature every time one dies. It prefers to lay its other eggs in fresh water, and will stay to guard them. It is very difficult to destroy, even being able to regenerate broken bones; it does seem vulnerable to fire, however.
Sammael is very strong and aggressive. It defends itself with a whip-like tongue that is capable of attaching others with a fist sized parasite, and can even detach its arm bones to use as clubs. The implicit danger of the creature, combined with its reproductive abilities, makes even one an enormous threat.
