Dusknoir is a Ghost-type Pokémon species, whose juvenile stage is known as Duskull, and whose intermediary stage is known as Dusclops. However, a Dusclops can only evolve into Dusknoir when traded while holding the item known as the Reaper Cloth.

Biology[]

All three life stages of this species are eerie spectral creatures characterized by their grey coloration and the single bright red eye on their faces. Wild populations of this species are known to occur in the regions of Hoenn and Sinnoh.

Duskull[]

Duskull

Known as the "Requiem Pokémon", Duskull is a relatively small floating specter with a skull-like face and a single luminous red eye which can move freely from one eye socket to the other.

This Pokémon is capable of becoming invisible and intangible (allowing it to pass through walls). It is mostly active around midnight, and loves to hear the cry of children, so it pursues them and scares them intentionally. Once it singles out a victim, Duskull will follow its target relentlessly until dawn.

Dusclops[]

Dusclops

Known as the "Beckon Pokémon", the second stage, Dusclops, is twice as tall and twice as heavy as a Duskull. It is now bipedal, and possesses five-fingered hands, although its feet have no toes to speak of.

Pokédex entries claim that this Pokémon's body is completely hollow, and is capable of swallowing objects like a black hole. It's even been said to steal the spirits of those who peer into its interior. With certain movements of its hands and a firm visual contact, Dusclops is capable of hypnotizing people.

Dusknoir[]

Known as the "Gripper Pokémon", the final stage, Dusknoir, keeps the hands, but returns to being legless. Its head now possesses a sensitive antenna, which is used to capture radio waves from the Spirit World. It also acts as a sort of guardian entity by finding lost spirits and guiding them home.
