— Common Chocobo call
Chocobos are a breed of flightless birds, characterized by their yellow feathers, distinct odor, and the unforgettable chirp, "kweh!", though they are known to make other sounds as well, such as "wark". Domesticated for their gentle nature and quick feet, they are often used as a mode of ground transportation.
Behind the scenesEdit
- The Chocobos are directly inspired by the Horseclaws seen in Hayao Miyazaki's Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, produced by Studio Ghibli.
